What This Apprenticeship Offers
Gain in-demand skills and national qualifications while working at the cutting edge of manufacturing. Our structured programme combines academic study with real-world application, giving you the foundation to become a confident, capable engineering professional.
•    NFQ Level 6 – Technician (2 Years): Study at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS)
•    NFQ Level 7 – Engineer (1 Additional Year): Progress to either Munster Technological University (Cork) or Atlantic Technological University (Galway)
•    Total Duration: 3 Years
•    Locations: Limerick-based role with academic progression to Cork or Galway

What You'll Do
As an Apprentice Manufacturing Technician and future Engineer, you’ll:
•    provides technical support function for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
•    work both autonomously and cross functionally with Production, Operations, Engineering Support, Quality, Facilities, and Safety to ensure that the engineering activities/projects are completed as per defined project schedule.
•    work in establishing and coordinating corrective/preventive maintenance activities for Production/Operations equipment within the manufacturing site

You'll graduate with the ability to think critically, work independently, and lead technical projects that drive real business value.

Who Should Apply?

•    Recent school leavers with a strong interest in hands-on learning
•    Team-oriented, proactive, and passionate about technology
•    Ready to commit to a programme that blends practical experience with academic achievement
Minimum Requirements:
•    Leaving Certificate with Grade 06 at Ordinary Level in five subjects (including Maths and English/Irish)
