Experienced and passionate Sous Chef sought for our well established restaurant, Jansi Limited T/A Kohinoor Royal Taste of Indian Cuisine at 17, Main Street, Portlaoise. This is a permanent full-time role. Minimum of five years relevant experience required. Hours per week: 39 hours.
Job Spec-
Plan menus, prepares, seasons and cooks authentic Indian food and oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes.
Purchases and examine foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality.
Supervises kitchen staff and manage the kitchen.
Management of HACCP and ensure that relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen.
Plan and coordinate kitchen work including fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils.
Participate in daily testing of foods for quality control.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Promotes a positive working environment.
