This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Are u passionate for food and coffee? We are offering a 6 month placement in a busy welcoming restaurant in heart of Roscrea , perfect for anyone looking to gain real experience in the hospitality industry. We will provide barista training you will be trained to use commercial expresso machine, coffee presentation and hygiene standards. You will also receive training in kitchen skills. Safe food handling and HACCP, basic food prep and plating Stock control and cleaning procedures, customer service, taking orders and handling payments . Communicating with customers professionally and day to day operations in a friendly team focused environment. You will receive on the job training, daily support from experienced staff to help build confidence and valuable hospitality skills.
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. Formal training: Barista training Kitchen skills Customer service and front of house Pos. Learn to operate a point of sale system with hands on training Taking orders Processing payments Order flow and communication with barista/kitchen Informal training: Personal hygiene Food safety basics Storage and temperature control (fifo) Safe food preparation Allergen awareness Food safety laws Health and safety training
