Job Title: Playgroup Leader
Employer: MAAP Childcare Limited - Tots Childcare
Location: Station Walk, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, W12 XR84
Salary: €34k p.a.
Hours: 39 hrs/wk

As a Playgroup Leader, you will be responsible for supervising children's play and promoting their physical, social, and emotional development. You will provide various play opportunities, prepare materials for diverse activities, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and engage children in games and activities that foster physical, social, and language skills.
- Prepare and maintain play areas and materials to support a wide range of children's activities.
- Encourage children's independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions.
- Organize and oversee children's excursions and outings.
- Ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety regulations, responding effectively to any injuries or emergencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by putting away equipment and cleaning the premises after use.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues, maintaining accurate records as required.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification such as QQI Level 5 in Childcare (or international equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous but not essential.
