Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department of Social Protection.

Duties will include: 
•	Wash and prepare vegetables
•	Assist with serving food
•	Consultation with the cook
•	Attending to washing up of dishes, pots and pans
•	Cleaning of all kitchen and cooking equipment and utensils
•	Be familiar with required cleaning agents and cleaning programmes in place
•	Ensure all cleaning programmes are checked and signed off each day
•	Keep the kitchen clean and tidy 
•	Ensure dining room is cleaned after each meal ( including floors & tables )
•	Ensure all food bins are emptied and cleaned each day 
•	Be prepared to receive and undertake training in Health and Hygiene legislation and further training
•	Perform allied and kindred duties as may be required from time to time 

Hours of Work will be 1.30pm - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 1.30pm - 5.00pm Friday 
Summer holiday hours: 11am - 3.30pm
