The Process Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the manufacturing of products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting the production team to meet operational goals in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment (e.g., mixers, granulators, tablet presses, encapsulation machines, coating equipment, packaging lines). Follow batch manufacturing records (BMRs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and GMP guidelines at all times. Conduct in-process quality checks and document results in line with regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or engineering. Ensure accurate completion of production records and documentation to support traceability and audit readiness. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production area (following cleanroom or hygiene zoning rules, where applicable). Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve deviations or non-conformances. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety programs, and lean manufacturing projects. Requirements: Education & Experience: Leaving Certificate or equivalent; further education in Science, Engineering, or Manufacturing is an advantage. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, or medical device preferred). Experience with batch processing and production documentation is desirable. Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with health & safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices. Effective communication and time-management skills. Flexibility to work shifts or weekends as required. Desirable (but not essential): Knowledge of HACCP and ISO 22000/9001 standards. Forklift or pallet truck certification. Experience with ERP systems or electronic batch records.
