Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

To drive a community Van for Collecting of Items donated by public to the community  Centre. 
o	Driving the van in a safe manner
o	Ensure the van is kept in safe working order and is kept clean and tidy
o	Maintain driving and mileage records 
When not driving support the Caretaker with duties such as:
o	Preparing rooms for use
o	Small maintenance and repair of furniture, windows, fixtures and fittings.
o	Upkeep and renewal of paintwork.
o	General tidiness of Centre, emptying of bins.
o	Health and safety responsibilities
o	Strict compliance with Centre Child Protection Policy
o	Maintaining the grass and grounds around the Family Resource buildings
