Company: Virginia International is in an exciting period of sustained growth. We recently extended our warehouse and are expanding our large, top-of-the-range fleet of modern tractor units, which includes Scania, Renault, DAF, and Volvo. All are 100% Euro-compliant and part of our 3-to-5-year replacement program. As the company grows, so does our fleet, allowing us to meet the demands of our extensive customer base across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
Location: 	Maghera, Virginia, Co. Cavan
Contract: 	Full-time, Permanent (following successful completion of 6mth probationary period)
Salary: 	Commensurate with experience

Are you a skilled and experienced HGV mechanic looking for an exciting new opportunity? We want you to join our team!

Duties & Responsibilities:
•	Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various heavy goods vehicles, i.e. CVRT preparation, diagnostics, and repairs to a fleet of trucks and trailers. 
•	Conduct examinations to diagnose faults and carry out the necessary repairs efficiently. 
•	Respond to daily checks as drivers report, identifying routine and non-routine defects while working to high standards per technical standards.
•	Work closely with the transport team, informing them of progress, to ensure vehicles are available to service planned collections for the end customer.
•	Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in line with company, RSA and other governing bodies guidelines to ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
•	Assist with the mentoring and coaching of other team members such as technicians and apprenticeships.
•	Co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company to ensure the health, safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public.

Personal Specification
•	Experience in Renault, Volvo and Scania preferable   
•	Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
•	Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
•	Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
•	Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritise workload.  
•	Eagerness to learn and share knowledge and wiliness to teach apprenticeship.
•	Flexible with drive to meeting work deadlines while remaining calm and focused.
