SMK Forestry Ltd, Lacken Lower, Drumcarban, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, H12 C982, is currently recruiting experienced Tree Surgeons and/or Specialty Harvesting Technicians to support vegetation management services carried out on behalf of ESB Networks.
The role includes vegetation-management and tree-cutting operations around utility lines, including safe felling, hazard assessment, and clearance of overhead lines up to 400 kV.
Applicants must hold a QQI Level 5 in Chainsaw Operations (or equivalent) or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in forestry, tree cutting, or arboriculture. Proven ability to work at height, operate plant machinery, and follow ISO/environmental safety standards is essential. Candidates must be hardworking, capable of working independently, and provide suitable references. Salary: €34,000 – €40,000 per year (based on a 39-hour week).
