Role Overview This 2-year apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, and route optimisation. You’ll work closely with our experienced transport manager and planner, learning everything from compliance regulations to real-time problem-solving. Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time Transport Planner role. Key Responsibilities • Assist in planning and scheduling daily haulage requests from customers • Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure correct delivery dates and times • Use industry-standard software for tracking and planning • Monitor transport and daily operational costs for routine management reviews • Ensure compliance with transportation laws and company policies • Create and support the development of logistics strategies and solutions What You’ll Gain • Professional mentoring and structured training • Practical experience across various areas of transport planning • Opportunity to build a career in a critical industry • Potential for permanent employment following the successful completion of the apprenticeship Requirements • Must speak fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland • Must be able to work in a high-pressure, fast paced environment • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills • Good communication skills and phone etiquette • Ability to work with a team and on own initiative • Competent computer skills, with a solid knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook • Enthusiasm for the transport and warehousing sector Contract Terms • Type: 2 Year Apprenticeship • Hours: 09:00am – 17:30pm • Salary: TBD during interview • Start Date: 1st September 2025 (or sooner if possible) Hiring Process All applicants’ CVs will be reviewed by the company director and transport manager.
