We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ergonomics Technician to join our specialist ergonomics team. This role is suited to individuals with formal, recognised qualifications in ergonomics (Level 8 or Level 9 degree or equivalent) and hands-on experience beyond basic DSE assessments. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive ergonomic evaluations, recommend workstation and process adjustments, and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce musculoskeletal risks across a range of workplace settings. Key Responsibilities: Conduct full ergonomic evaluations of employee workstations, processes, and environments. Identify musculoskeletal risk factors using evidence-based assessment tools and methodologies. Recommend tailored interventions, including workstation adjustments, equipment specifications, and workflow improvements. Prepare clear, professional reports and maintain accurate records of evaluations and findings. Stay informed of current research and best practices in ergonomics, human factors, and workplace design. Essential Requirements: A recognised qualification in ergonomics – minimum Level 8 or 9 degree or Masters (or equivalent). A minimum of six months’ experience in a dedicated ergonomics role (not solely DSE assessments). Proven experience in completing ergonomic risk assessments using recognised tools and standards (e.g., RULA, REBA, MAC, anthropometric data). Working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, ergonomic standards, and practical application in workplace settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard reporting/documentation tools. Ability to work independently and travel between sites as required. Non-essential qualifications: A background in healthcare ergonomics. Physiotherapy background.
