Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Responsible for the overall content of the newspaper, including news, features, and opinion pieces, assign stories to journalists, evaluate and select submissions for publication,  ensure that the news team meets deadlines and manages the workflow effectively, verify the facts presented in stories, correcting any inaccuracies to prevent the spread of misinformation, correct grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and ensure the writing style is consistent and appropriate.  To manage and mentor a team of reporters, writers, photographers, and other staff.  Knowledge of Dublin 4 area essential.
