Job Title: Commis Chef
Location: 10-13 Thomas Street, Dublin 8, Ireland
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €34,000 – €40,000per year (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible shifts (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays)

BELT AND ROAD WHOLESALE LIMITED operates an Asian-style restaurant in Dublin, specialising in authentic dishes made from fresh ingredients. We are committed to providing high-quality food and excellent service to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to our growing reputation for quality dining.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of Asian-style dishes according to our menu and quality standards.
Support senior chefs during service to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation, following food safety and HACCP regulations.
Assist with stock control, including receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Participate in menu development and the creation of new recipes under the guidance of the Head Chef.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role, ideally within an Asian restaurant setting.
Strong cooking and knife skills, with a genuine passion for Asian cuisine.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Culinary qualification preferred but not essential.
