Handy Lads Solutions Limited is looking for construction workers who can perform the roles of plasterer and painter. • Plasterer: You will be responsible for Surface Preparation, Mixing Plaster, Application, Smoothing and Finishing, Drying and Curing. The work will involve cleaning walls, removing old plaster, applying bonding agents, and sometimes installing mesh or lath to help the plaster adhere, combining materials like cement, lime, gypsum, or sand with water to get the right consistency, using tools like trowels and hawks to spread the plaster over walls or ceilings in layers, achieving a flawless surface by skimming, sanding, or polishing. Decorative finishes like textured plaster or Venetian plaster may also be added. Allowing time for each layer to dry properly to prevent cracking or warping. Fixing damaged plaster, filling holes or cracks, and blending new plaster with old surfaces. • Painter: You will be responsible for Surface Preparation, choosing materials, application techniques, detailing and finishing, and cleanup & disposal. The work will involve cleaning walls, ceilings, or other surfaces, scraping off old paint, sanding rough areas, filling cracks or holes with putty or filler, and applying primer to ensure paint adheres properly. Selecting the right type of paint (e.g. emulsion, enamel, oil-based, water-based). Picking finishes like matte, satin, gloss, or textured. Choosing brushes, rollers, or spray equipment depending on the job. Brushing, rolling, spraying and applying multiple coats for durability and even coverage. Touching up edges and corners, removing tape and cleaning up spills, inspecting for streaks, bubbles, or uneven patches, and final polishing or protective coating if needed. Cleaning brushes and tools, safely disposing of leftover paint and materials, and ventilating the area to remove fumes.
