This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks across the site, including cleaning, tidying, and minor repairs - Support the maintenance team with routine inspections and upkeep of facilities - Help maintain outdoor areas such as walkways, fencing, and drainage - Learn to operate tools and equipment safely under supervision - Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly - Participate in health and safety training and follow all site protocols - Help with setting up work areas and moving materials or equipment as needed
Formal Training - Manual Handling Certification - Basic Health & Safety (e.g., Safe Pass or equivalent) - Introduction to Site Maintenance Procedures - PPE Usage and Safety Compliance - Fire Safety Awareness Informal Training - On-the-job mentoring by senior maintenance staff - Toolbox talks and daily briefings - Equipment handling demonstrations - Shadowing experienced operatives - Informal feedback and performance coaching
