The Operations and Product Support Specialist is focused on the on-time delivery of products and services, and the ongoing serviceability of those products and services to a global customer base. Maintains asset visibility and inventory management systems and records and ensures availability to meet firm and forecast. Assembles, tests, packs and ships equipment as needed. Travels to customer sites to support installation activities. Monitors and tracks fielded equipment performance, takes corrective actions where possible and raises issues for support when needed.

Key Responsibilities 
1) Supply chain management to meet forecast requirements (received from Sales) a. Production / procurement
b. Equipment set up, assembly & modification prior to delivery
c. Contribute to supplier management and procurement activities 
d. Shipping / logistics
2) Global Inventory management & visibility 
a. Top level assemblies
b. Rotables (Items which can be repaired and re-fielded) economic/practical/technical decision 
c. Consumables (Items which are replaced, even if they could be repaired)
d. Perishables (Items which wear out and need to be replaced)
e. Tools & equipment
3) Installation support
a. On-site and / or remote support (RSSM and remote commissioning) 
b. Facilitating/supporting/training distribution partners and other install orgs
4) Product Support
a. Performance monitoring of deployed equipment
b. Contribute to Product Support planning (Post production support plans through EOL including technical
product support/issue resolution, repairs, replacements, exchanges, logistics) c. Support tool and support documentation management
5. Safety & Quality (Certifications, QA, QC, ISO, Safety Management Systems etc.)

Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant degree and / or 1-5 years equivalent in a relevant field like supply chain management, logistics & inventory management, or operations management
- A relevant degree and / or 1-5 years experience in a relevant field like customer support, technical support or product support in the communications or similar technical field
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong analytical skills for analysing data, identifying problems, and making informed decisions
- Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure efficient operations.
- Effective time management is crucial for meeting deadlines and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Proficiency in the use of MSOffice is essential and other relevant technologies is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills are valuable for ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues.
- A working knowledge of relevant logistics regulations and standards.
