Job Description & Skills Required Key Requirements Have a minimum qualification of Level 5 (including Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme) or have a Nursing degree or Diploma Have Permission to work in Ireland Job Description Help Provide the Residents with the best care possible Assist the Nurse in the Delivery of Care Duties and Responsibilities Shower/bath the Residents Brush and Clean the Residents Hair Clean fingernails and toenails of residents Accompany the residents to the bathrooms and help the Resident in toileting Supervise Residents Assist Residents do their daily routines Assist them with Dental Care and Oral Hygiene At all times be aware of the need to follow best practice and policies in relation to infection control Nutrition Help Support the patient during the meal times Assist with feeding of patient Ensure all dietary programs of patient are adhered to the correct patient Prepare and serve food outside of normal catering hours Washing of dishes and kitchen when necessary. Mobilization Reposition residents in chairs and beds to ensure the maximum comfort and safety Assist residents with walking Accompany and assist the nursing staff when transferring patients from indoor to outdoor Ensure bed bound patients are moved regularly to relieve pressure areas Encourage Independence with mobility and assist when needed. General Duties Stripping, cleaning, washing and making of occupied and un-occupied beds in consultation with nursing staff Cleaning of trolleys, lockers and bed side tables as required Sorting and disposable of linen and clinical waste in accordance with the infection control policy Collection / Delivery / Sorting and Storage of supplies or equipment where required Cleaning spillages immediately and make the environment safe Company - Cherrygrove Nursing Home Ltd Location - Priesthaggard, Campile, New Ross, Co Wexford, Y34TC61 Working Hours - 39 Per week Pay rate - €30000 Per Annum
