Our client, James Hayes Machinery Limited t/a Hayes Agri, based in Co. Tipperary, is currently seeking Agricultural Mechanics for immediate start for their premises in Cashel, Co. Tipperary. Key Responsibilities & Duties - To fit, install, examine, service and repair engines, agricultural machinery and mechanical equipment, except motor vehicles, aircraft and electric motors - To repair, overhaul and maintain agricultural equipment including tractors, tillage equipment, seeding equipment and harvesting equipment - To perform evaluations of equipment, perform preventative maintenance activities and repair faults - To oil and grease stationary engines and machinery - To inspect and test new machinery and mechanical equipment for conformity with standards and specifications - To disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs - To examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear - To operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs and maintenance performed Requirements – Experience and Skills - Essential knowledge for the role includes agricultural equipment and mechanics - Candidates must have experience in conducting routine machinery checks, consulting technical resources and maintaining agricultural machinery - Candidates must have experience in performing machine maintenance on installed equipment, performing test runs, recording test data, using testing equipment and resolving equipment malfunctions - Candidates must be experienced in CLAAS - A relevant qualification is a plus but is not mandatory - 2-3 years of experience required as an Agricultural Mechanic in a previous role - Experience in and knowledge of CLAAS machinery is required.
