Iasc Iorrais Teoranta is seeking a Sea Fishers to join its team. Sea Fishers will assist with trapping and catching crab in various marine environments. Accordingly, the Sea Fishers day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:
	Preparing, repairing and maintaining crab pots, warps, buoys and other fishing gear. 
	Baiting and shooting baited pots at sea.
	Retrieving pots using winches and lifting gear.
	Safe landing, grading, and preservation of live crab catch in vessel holds.
	Accurately reporting crab catch data, including species, weight, and location.
	Adhering strictly to all safety protocols, sustainable fishing practices and relevant fisheries and maritime regulations. 
	Monitoring weather conditions and marine environments to ensure safe and effective fishing operations.
	Cleaning and disinfecting decks, holds, and accommodation spaces.
	Participating in regular maintenance and repairs of gear and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
	Conducting routine vessel safety checks and ensuring operational readiness. 
	Working collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with crew members. 
	Adapting to changing environmental conditions and working independently as required. 
To be eligible the individual must possess the following:
	Experience in marine fishing, specifically with crab or similar pot fisheries preferred. 
	Strong teamwork and communication skills. 
	Ability to work in physically demanding and challenging sea conditions. 
	Relevant safety certifications are an advantage.
	Commitment to sustainable and responsible fishing practices.
