Michael Lyng Motors are currently recruiting for a Ford Technician to join our Aftersales team at our state-of-the-art Ford dealership in the Hebron Road Industrial Estate, Kilkenny, R95 KD72. 

The salary ranges from €34,000 (16.77/hr) to €54,000 based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. 

This position is Full-time, Permanent & Pensionable, with excellent terms & conditions. Main responsibilities include carrying out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and servicing to Ford Technician standards, providing technical support and guidance to other workshop colleagues, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest manufacturer standards, using the latest Ford diagnostic and repair equipment to resolve complex issues, completing service documentation in line with warranty and dealer requirements, and working closely with the Aftersales team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Job Functions: Carry out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and servicing to Ford Technician standards. Provide technical support and guidance to other workshop colleagues. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest manufacturer standards. Use the latest Ford diagnostic and repair equipment to resolve complex issues. Complete service documentation in line with warranty and dealer requirements. Work closely with the Aftersales team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Required Qualifications: Certified Ford Technician (or equivalent high-level expertise in Ford vehicles). Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and hybrid/electric vehicles. Ability to mentor and support junior technicians. An organised, flexible team player with strong problem-solving skills. Hold a full clean driver’s licence.
