Addiction Counsellor – Navan Work as part of the treatment team as an Addiction Counsellor at a healthcare facility in Navan, providing support and treatment to residents with addiction issues. Flexibility, willingness to travel, and work outside normal hours are required. Training and supervision will be provided. Responsibilities: Adhere to the facility’s policies, procedures, and clinical standards. Maintain accurate files, records, and statistics. Attend supervision and maintain professional accreditation. Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned by management. One-to-one counselling with clients and concerned persons. Develop individual treatment and aftercare plans. Facilitate group sessions, family conferences, and lectures. Conduct assessments and intakes with clients. Liaise with referral agencies and other relevant services. Case management where necessary. Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ensure smooth running of the centre while on duty. Requirements / Qualifications: QQI Level 8 counselling qualification with addiction counselling training. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience. Full accreditation with Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (formerly IAAAC), IACP, IAHIP, or BACP. Practical experience with the 12-Step Programme. Excellent communication, group facilitation, planning, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to ongoing training and development. Good computer skills. Garda vetting required. Knowledge of Brief Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, CRA, CRAFT, Family Dynamics (Desirable) Additional counselling-related training (Desirable) Salary & Benefits: Salary: €27.99 per hour Training and supervision provided.
