Role Purpose

To operate Nolan Coaches’ fleet of buses and coaches in a safe, professional, and customer-focused manner, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate buses and coaches on scheduled services, school runs, corporate shuttles, private hires, tours, and contract routes.

Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks, reporting any defects promptly.

Ensure compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Tachograph legislation.

Provide excellent customer service to passengers, assisting with boarding, luggage, and accessibility requirements.

Uphold Nolan Coaches’ reputation by maintaining high standards of professionalism, courtesy, and presentation.

Complete all journey records, defect reports, and paperwork accurately.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any damage or issues immediately.

Follow company Health & Safety, Road Safety, and Accident/Incident procedures.

Requirements

Essential:

Full, clean D or D1 category driving licence.

Valid CPC card and up-to-date CPC modules.

Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Strong knowledge of road safety, vehicle operation, and relevant regulations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility regarding early starts, late finishes, weekends, and shift work.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a professional bus or coach driver.

Familiarity with Dublin routes and nationwide travel.

Experience working with schools, corporate clients, or tourism groups.

Personal Attributes

Professional, reliable, and customer-focused.

Safety-conscious with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Presentable appearance in line with company uniform standards.
