Company: Gica Insulation Limited Location: 5/6 Main Street, Coolock, Dublin, D05 V6X7 Contract Type: Full-time Annual Salary: €34,000 - €45,000 Working Hours: 39 hours per week Start Date: 15/11/2025 Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Roofing & Insulation Specialist to join our team on residential and commercial construction and renovation projects. As a specialist in a company focused on insulation and sustainable building, you will install, repair, and maintain roofs and associated insulation systems, ensuring compliance with Irish energy efficiency and safety standards, including the Building Regulations. Key Responsibilities: Measure roofs or exterior walls and calculate required amounts of underfelt, tiles, slates, or thatching material. Cut wooden battens, felt, and underfelt to required size. Lay and secure underfelt, covering with hot bitumen or other adhesive compounds. Lay, align, and secure successive overlapping layers of roofing material. Seal edges of roofs with mortar and ensure that joints are watertight. Install or repair gutters, facades, flashings, and other roof components. Apply insulation materials to enhance energy efficiency in new or existing buildings. Conduct safety inspections, repairs, and maintenance on roofs and insulation. Collaborate with construction teams to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a roofer, slater, or in similar construction roles. Knowledge of roofing materials (e.g., tiles, slates, felt) and thermal insulation techniques, including sustainable installation methods. Ability to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
