This role is office based in Kilrush (Co Clare) will require you to be self-motivated and able to work independently, take your own initiative, and help train junior team members. You will contribute to the organisation of the post-excavation programme and support Project Managers and Department Head in the completion of post-excavation projects. Primary responsibilities include:
	Tracking project budgets and timescales, working closely with the Head of department
	Specialist liaison, quote requests, and tracking of finds and sample assemblages
	National Museum of Ireland (NMI) licensing
	Maintenance and care of processing areas, finds rooms, equipment and materials
	Creation and maintenance of sample and finds spreadsheets and quality assurance
	Finds bagging, boxing, and packaging as per AMS guidelines 
Essential:
	Post-graduate degree in archaeology or a related field
	Minimum one year experience in post-excavation
	Strong knowledge in flotation tank use and identification/sorting of ecofacts
	Strong knowledge of NMI compliant finds and sample cataloguing and NMI licensing
	Full driving licence
	IAI Membership
	Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
	Excellent computer skills (Word and Excel)
	Excellent organisational skills
Desirable:
	Excavation experience
	Developing specialism (particular interest in landscape archaeology or early medieval finds)
	ArcGIS
	Involvement in wider research projects 
	Previous administrative experience
