Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

The objective of the role is to assist with meeting the collection & delivery requirements of Cork Simon Community. Duties include: driving duties and the loading and unloading of assorted items and goods, collection and delivery to and from all Cork Simon Community’s premises, workplaces, and external locations, checking daily list of van jobs, recording of jobs completed, passing on of relevant messages and information. A full clean driving licence is essential. We can provide you with accredited training and development opportunities to help you progress into more regular employment.
