Derry Duff Organics is an organic and regenerative farm in `west Cork growing blueberries, aronia berries, and native trees. We are seeking a live-in, Farm Assistant to work for 30 hours a week to support horticultural operations and regenerative farm management.  

Applicants must be legally entitled to work within Ireland and the EU, please provide an Irish PPS number or evidence of an Irish work permit with your application


Main Duties: 
-	Mulching, weeding, and general care of our blueberry and aronia plantations
-	Tree nursery care, including, weeding, fertilizing, potting, watering, and transplanting
-	Tree Planting
-	Feeding animal 
-	Greenhouse work – planting, propagation, and harvesting crops
-	Fertilising and soil health management using organic inputs
-	Installing and maintaining bird deterrents and trellising structures
-	Supporting regenerative practices such as mulching, composting, and biodiversity enhancement
-	Fencing
-	General maintenance on day-to-day farm operations

Training Provided: 
-	Organic production methods
-	Soil health and microbiome management
-	Regenerative agriculture techniques
-	General human, plant and animal nutrition

Requirements: 
-	Must be eligible to work in Ireland
-	Enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and happy working outdoors in all weathers
-	Interest in organic horticulture and farming
-	Practical, observant, and willing to learn
-	Organised and tidy, used to keeping tools and workshops tidy and organised.
-	Experience in horticulture or farming is welcome but not essential — training provided
-	A full driving licence a strong advantage and own transport recommended
-	Holding Teagasc Farm Safety qualification, QQI Farm Safety & Assurance, or FRS farm safety credentials is an advantage 
-	Certifications in tractor driving, machinery handling, Chainsaw / strimmer safety, Digger / loader operation, ATV / quad safety are an advantage
-	Carpentry skills an advantage.
