This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.


This placement offers the unique opportunity to gain experience working alongside an experienced Animators in Kavaleer Productions Dublin 8. On day-to-day basis the successful participant will work under the creative direction of the Animation Director and Team Lead and will have the opportunity to work closely with the design team to improve each delivery and in turn reduce retakes as production proceeds.


The successful participant will gain experience in, and will be trained in the following:


· Gain experience working with the Animation Director, Team Lead, designers and animators to maintain the highest level possible throughout each stage of the production.

· Learn how to ensure the high standard of layout is maintained throughout the production and deadlines are met.

· Learn how to pay close attention to the animatic to be aware of hook ups and maintain continuity throughout the episode.

· Learn how to update asset libraries when reusable animation is approved, and update tracking documents of animation progress used throughout production.
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
