Hospital Chef – North Dublin
  
We are seeking a skilled Hospital Chef to join a busy healthcare facility in North Dublin. This is a rewarding hands-on role, where you’ll prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality meals that support the nutritional needs and wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors. The role is based in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will involve manual handling and some heavy lifting tasks, making it ideal for chefs who thrive under pressure and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.
  
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary guidelines.
Work across multiple kitchen stations, including pastry, cold kitchen, prep, and salads.
Lead or support daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced setting.
Safely carry out manual handling and heavy lifting tasks as required.
Follow all HACCP, food safety, and hygiene protocols.
Oversee stock rotation, food storage, and waste minimisation.
Monitor portion control, food presentation, and allergens.
Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams on menu planning.
Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.
Requirements:
QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
Experience in healthcare or high-volume catering, with multi-station skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy lifting duties.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cook-chill procedures.
Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
Flexible to work weekday and weekend shifts.
Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
Salary & Benefits:
€20.50/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays.
Full time hours, Day shifts only, Monday to Sunday roster.
