Job Description: Location: Leitrim Type: Full-time | Permanent Experience: 5+ years post-qualification Salary: €55,000 – €65,000, depending on experience Benefits: Path to Partnership About Us: We are a progressive and growing accounting practice based in Leitrim, working with a wide range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and not-for-profits. Our firm is known for its hands-on, supportive approach and commitment to delivering practical, high-quality advice. As our client base continues to expand, we are seeking an Experienced Accountant who is motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to take on more responsibility within the firm. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to partnership in the future. The Role: You will be responsible for the preparation and completion of accounts, audits, and tax returns for a varied client portfolio, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all financial areas. Key responsibilities include: Preparing financial statements for companies, sole traders, partnerships, and CLGs. Conducting audits and ensuring adherence to auditing standards. Preparing and submitting tax returns for Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and RCT. Advising clients on tax planning and compliance. Managing CRO filings and statutory records. Liaising directly with clients, Revenue, and other stakeholders. Supporting and mentoring junior staff where required. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within a small or medium-sized practice. Strong technical background in accounting, auditing, and taxation. Proficient with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Big Red Book. Strong communication and organisational skills. Able to work independently and meet deadlines. Interested in long-term career progression and contributing to firm growth. What We Offer Competitive salary of €55,000 – €70,000, depending on experience.
