HGV Mechanic – Full-Time, Permanent Location: Crannaghmore, Summerhill, Athlone, Co. Roscommon Salary: €18 – €20 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: 39–45 hours per week Contract: Permanent We are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our team in Crannaghmore, Summerhill, Athlone. This is a full-time, permanent position offering steady work, a competitive hourly rate and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive and well-equipped workshop. Duties include: Servicing, maintenance and repairs of HGVs and trailers CVRT preparation, diagnostics and fault-finding Responding to defect reports and resolving mechanical issues Completing both routine and non-routine repairs to a high standard Working closely with the transport team to minimise vehicle downtime Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety, RSA and company standards Maintaining accurate service records and providing guidance to junior staff Requirements: National Craft Certificate / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience Experience with HGVs or heavy vehicle repair (advantage) Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills Good organisational skills and high attention to detail Ability to work safely, efficiently and as part of a team This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a committed mechanic with solid technical ability and a strong work ethic.
