Job Title: Accounting Technician Soc: 3537 Company:U Value Insulation Location: Unit 505b Northwest Business Park, Mitchelstown Road, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, D15 XO32 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to support the company’s financial operations, focusing on technical accounting tasks, cost monitoring and accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Monitor customer accounts, identifying overdue payments, pending payments, and resolving other irregularities, including following up on outstanding invoices via phone, email, or written communication. Apply received payments accurately to invoices in the accounting system and perform reconciliations of the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all payments are correctly recorded. Issue month-end statements, updates to the aged debtor report, and maintain updated credit records. Assist with month-end closing processes and audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. Respond to customer queries and resolve billing issues professionally, coordinating with internal departments to resolve disputed invoices or delivery complaints. Analyse financial variances, provide insights to management, and maintain constant communication with external accountants to organise working papers during the audit. Requirements 2 years of practical experience in technical accounting tasks, including reconciliations, ledger management and preparing accounts up to trial balance. Ability to work independently on technical accounting processes. Strong organisation and attention to detail.
