A well-established healthcare facility in Mullingar is seeking a Catering Assistant to support Kitchen, Dining Area and Canteen services. This role plays a key part in delivering nutritious meals and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare catering, hospital kitchens, or high-volume food service.

Key Responsibilities
 Assist with preparing and serving meals and beverages, following dietary guidelines.
 Maintain excellent hygiene standards across kitchen, canteen and food prep areas.
 Follow HACCP procedures and infection control protocols at all times.
 Store, label and rotate food correctly to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
 Support canteen service and provide patient assistance during mealtimes.
 Keep kitchen and canteen pantries stocked, clean and ready for daily service.
 Follow correct waste management and recycling procedures.
 Work closely with catering and kitchen teams to deliver efficient, safe food service.

Requirements
 6–12 months’ experience in catering or high-volume kitchens (healthcare experience an advantage).
 Legal Right to Work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
 Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
 Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
 High commitment to hygiene, food safety and infection control.
 Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Salary & Benefits
 €17.53 per hour, with Double Pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
 Full-time hours, typically between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm.
 5 days over 7 roster, including potential weekend shifts.
