We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Intellectual Disabilities) to join a new community-based Multidisciplinary Health Team supporting adults transitioning out of homelessness. This role provides person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused nursing care to individuals with intellectual, physical, or sensory disabilities, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and stability within their homes and communities. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring within the multidisciplinary team. Complete nursing assessments, care plans, interventions, reviews, and discharge planning. Advocate for clients with intellectual disabilities and ensure supports are accessible, flexible, and person-centred. Manage a caseload and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with housing, addiction, mental health, disability, and homeless services to ensure integrated pathways of care. Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based and harm-reduction approaches in all practice. Ensure compliance with NMBI, HSE, HIQA, Mental Health Commission, National Disability Authority and internal governance standards. Contribute to audits, policy development, service review, and quality improvement initiatives. Support induction, training, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development across the MDT. Requirements (Essential) Registration in the Intellectual Disability division of the NMBI (or eligible for registration). Minimum 3 years post-registration, including at least 1 year in Intellectual Disabilities services. Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration. Evidence of continuing professional development. Strong communication, organisational and IT skills. Ability to work across community and outreach settings. A pragmatic, compassionate, person-centred approach Desirables Training in Positive Behaviour Support, sensory assessment, or autism-specific approaches. Experience supporting people experiencing social exclusion, addiction, trauma, or homelessness. Experience in service development, quality improvement, or managing change. Salary & Benefits Salary: €61,443 per annum. Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time considered). Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, between 8am–8pm, with some flexibility required. Contract: Fixed Term, 5 years (extension subject to funding). Holidays: 25 days per year, excluding bank holidays (pro rata).
