We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Mental Health) to join a new community-based Multidisciplinary Health Team in Dublin 1 delivering wrap-around supports to individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

This role provides person-centred, trauma-informed, recovery-focused mental health nursing to people experiencing complex needs including substance use, dual diagnosis, and social exclusion. You will help clients maintain stability, safety, and wellbeing within their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring within the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver mental health assessments, recovery-focused care plans, interventions, reviews, and discharge planning.
Provide harm reduction, health promotion, overdose response, and wound-care supports.
Conduct home visits, community outreach, and follow-up with clients in their own homes.
Manage a mental health nursing caseload and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Work collaboratively with Housing First case management teams and external partners including GPs, addiction services, mental health teams, housing providers, and community agencies.
Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based, harm-reduction approaches in all practice.
Ensure supports reflect Housing First core values: choice, rights, inclusion, and unconditional support.
Ensure compliance with NMBI, HSE, Mental Health Commission, HIQA, and internal clinical governance standards.
Contribute to audits, service review, risk management, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support induction, training, reflective practice, and continuous professional development across the MDT.

Requirements (Essential)

Registration in the Mental Health division of the NMBI (or eligible for registration).
Minimum 4 years post-registration, including at least 2 years in mental health services.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
Ability to work across community and outreach settings.
A pragmatic, compassionate, person-centred approach.

Desirables

Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, addiction, trauma, or social exclusion.
Experience in service development, quality improvement, or managing change.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: €61,443 per annum.
Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time considered).
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, between 8am–8pm, with some flexibility.
Permanent Contract: Fixed Term, 5 years (extension subject to funding).
Holidays: 25 days per year, excluding bank holidays (pro rata).
