Our client, The One Mile Dairy Limited, based in Oranmore, Co. Galway, is currently seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant for immediate start for their farm at Oranmore, Co. Galway.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
	Assist with twice-daily milking using modern parlour systems
	Monitor cow health and behaviour during milking
	Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of milking equipment and parlour
	Feed and care for dairy cows and young stock
	Monitor animal health and report any signs of illness or injury
	Assist with calving and general animal husbandry
	Maintain cleanliness of animal housing, sheds, and yard areas
	Assist with fencing, fieldwork, and general repairs as needed
	Operate tractors and other farm machinery (training provided if required)
	Assist in maintaining accurate records of animal treatments, feed usage, and milking data
Requirements:
	At least 3 years of previous experience working on a dairy farm 
	No formal training or certification is required once candidate has requisite experience, but a relevant certification is a plus 
	Ability to competently complete all role tasks listed above 
	Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions
	Ability to work independently and as part of a team
	A strong interest in animal welfare and sustainable farming practices
	Full driving licence is desirable
Remuneration: €34,000.00 per annum; Pay rate €16.77 per hour 
Work Location: The One Mile Dairy Limited, Moneymore East, Oranmore, Co. Galway, H91 KN5N. 
Working Hours Per Week: 39
