Job Title: ICT Cabling Technician Company: Thomond Communications LTD Location: Unit 48, Eastlink Business Park, Ballysimon Road, Limerick - V94R773 / and various locations around Limerick County and Region as client’s necessities. Salary: €34,000 per year Working Hours: 39h per week Key Responsibilities: • Install and route CAT6A and fibre optic cabling in commercial and industrial environments. • Perform termination and connectorisation of network infrastructure components. • Conduct testing and quality assurance of installed cabling systems to meet technical and safety standards. • Collaborate with construction and technical teams to ensure efficient project execution. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. • Prepare surfaces and apply insulation materials where required, leveraging electromechanical knowledge. Requirements: • Desirable experience in structured cabling installation, including CAT6A and fibre optics, however training will be provided. • Knowledge of network infrastructure standards and cabling best practices. • Ability to use testing equipment for cable certification and troubleshooting. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and relevant safety certifications. • Background in Electromechanical Technology or similar technical field is an advantage.
