Sports Coach - Boxing Specialisation - Competitive Level:
• Programme development: Design and implement individualised programmes that focus on technical boxing skills and competitive strategy.
• Technical instruction: Teach and refine fundamental boxing techniques such as stance, footwork, punching mechanics, offence and defence.
• Skill refinement: Conduct sparring sessions (technical, conditional, and open), pad work and technical drills providing real-time feedback to improve performance.
• Performance analysis: Monitor and evaluate athletes’ progress, analyse strengths and weaknesses, and adjust training methods as needed.
• Strategic planning: Analyse opponents, devise fight strategies, and make decisions during bouts.
• Mentorship and motivation: Provide psychological support to help athletes develop discipline, mental toughness, and sportsmanship.
• Competition support: Coach athletes for competitions, and offer guidance and encouragement in the corner.
• Safety and compliance: Ensure a safe environment and adhere to all health, safety and safeguarding standards.
• Administrative duties: Maintain accurate records of athletes’ progress and prepare reports.
• Must be able to spar, be fit, in excellent health and physical condition
Please note that this position is NOT suitable for gym/fitness instructors or casual boxing fitness instructors.
