A healthcare facility in Dublin 1 is seeking an experienced Hospital Chef to join its catering team, delivering freshly prepared meals that support patient care, recovery and wellbeing. This role is ideal for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare catering, or high-volume catering environments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary and nutritional guidelines
Lead or support daily hospital kitchen operations to maintain quality and consistency
Follow all HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
Manage stock rotation, food storage and waste reduction
Ensure correct portion control, allergen management and food presentation
Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams to meet patient needs
Maintain a clean, compliant and well-organised healthcare kitchen environment

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
Experience in a hospital kitchen, healthcare facility or high-volume catering environment
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and cook-chill processes
Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance
Ability to provide 5 years of work references
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts as required

Benefits

€20.50 per hour, with double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
