Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

We are seeking a person who will help with basic food and beverage preparation and cooking in the kitchen 
 
Duties 
– assist in the preparation of beverages, both hot and cold
– assist in the preparation and cooking of food
– assist generally in the kitchen as directed

 
Your main duties will include, but will not be limited to:
•	The cleaning of crockery and kitchenware
•	The daily upkeep in accordance with HACCP standards of the kitchen
•	Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean at all times
•	Food and beverage preparation and cooking 


The ideal candidate will have:
•	Excellent attention to detail with regard to cleaning
•	The ability to work on own initiative

The aim of this programme is to provide you with the skills and competencies required to work in a kitchen environment 

As this is a developmental role, the candidate will be provided with both in-house and external training opportunities to develop their skills and acquire qualifications to assist them in attaining a full-time related position upon their completing the scheme.
