Elm Homecare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care and clinical governance across its services. The role involves autonomous practice, complex care oversight, staff support, safeguarding, and quality assurance in line with NMBI standards, HIQA National Standards, and HSE policies.

This is a senior nursing role requiring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and experience in regulated care environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to service users with complex health and support needs

Complete nursing assessments and develop, implement, and review individualised care plans

Administer medications and specialised clinical interventions (e.g. PEG, catheter, stoma, wound care)

Provide clinical governance, oversight, and risk management across services

Lead safeguarding, incident management, complaints handling, and quality assurance activities

Support and train care staff in clinical skills, infection control, and risk management

Liaise with HSE PHNs, GPs, MDTs, hospitals, and other stakeholders

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance records

Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Registered Nurse with current NMBI registration

Experience in nursing, clinical governance, or domiciliary / community-based services

Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, HSE regulations, and safeguarding requirements

Excellent clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills

Full driving licence and access to transport

Desirable

Experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse

Background in quality assurance, service development, or governance

Additional qualifications in clinical governance, leadership, or risk management
