Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Southside Travellers Action Group is seeking a D1 mini bus driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our passengers while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
	Maintaining the vehicle in a safe and clean condition.
	Recording the mileage of the vehicle.
	Picking up and dropping off passengers at designated locations.
	Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus.
	Communicating effectively with passengers and providing excellent customer service.
	Safely operating the bus while following all traffic laws and regulations.
	Complying with safety regulations.
	Reporting and keeping records of any incidents.
	Ensuring passengers comply with safety precautions, such as wearing seatbelts and remaining seated when the vehicle is in motion.
	Completing relevant health and safety training.
	Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
	Performing any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Qualifications and Experience:
	Possession of a valid D1 driver's license
	Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers
	Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
	Ability to work independently and as part of a team
	Excellent time management and organisational skills
