Tallybrooke Ironworks Limited, a leading provider of metal fabrication and engineering services in the construction and manufacturing sectors, is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. This role involves working on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality metal joining and repair work in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Select and operate appropriate welding equipment, including electric arc, gas torches, and related tools.
Connect and adjust power supplies, hoses, and controls to regulate gas pressure and flow (e.g., oxygen, acetylene, argon, or carbon dioxide).
Cut metal pieces using gas torches or electric arcs, and remove defects from metal components.
Guide electrodes or torches along weld lines, burn away damaged areas, and apply brazing alloys or solders to joints.
Clean, smooth, and inspect finished welds for defects, ensuring conformity with specifications and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks, adhering to blueprints and project requirements.
Maintain a safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in welding trades, including competency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding).
Must pass a welding competency test as part of the recruitment process.
Strong attention to detail, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
