Job Description Vital Home Care is a nurse-led home care provider supporting older people to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. This role is community-based and focuses on dignity, respect, and promoting independence. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support) Assist with meals, hydration, and light household tasks Support clients with medication prompts (as per care plan) Offer companionship and emotional support Observe and report changes in a client’s condition Maintain accurate daily records and care notes Follow infection prevention, safeguarding, and safety procedures Work collaboratively with nurses, coordinators, and families Key Requirements QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support / Care Skills (or working towards) Previous experience in home care or healthcare setting (preferred) Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature Good communication skills in English Ability to work independently and responsibly Understanding of dignity, confidentiality, and safeguarding Eligibility to work in Ireland Garda Vetting required Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, depending on location)
