YOUR ROLE

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Responsible Person to join our healthcare team based in Dublin. This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for supporting the Responsible Person in ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards and overseeing the safe and effective delivery of healthcare services.

 

The Deputy Responsible Person (DRP) is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and implementing an efficient Quality Management System (QMS). You will ensure that comprehensive and effective Quality Risk Management, Change Control, and CAPA procedures are established and consistently maintained in accordance with GDP standards, aligned with the requirements of the current EU and HPRA regulations.

This is a Monday to Friday role.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Manage the daily interfaces with supply chain, customers and facility management to ensure all medicinal product receipt, storage and delivery is made in keeping with GDP best practice and per SOPs.
Ensure that the warehouse/facility is successfully operated in keeping with GDP, including temperature management, and that any excursions/issues are addressed, reported and resolved in a timely manner.
Ensure all appropriate qualifications are performed for activities undertaken in the warehouse, e.g. temperature mapping, equipment validation, system validation, transport validation.
Investigate complaints, identify deviations, propose realistic and effective CAPAs.
Ensure effective implementation of GDP training and ensure records are available for inspection by the HPRA as required.
Attend all appropriate internal and external GDP training (including HPRA GDP training workshops as appropriate).
Ensure good documentation practice is maintained, and all records are completed in real time
Ensure all appropriate actions are completed by trained staff in a timely fashion in keeping with SOP’s/Quality Systems.
Assist the RP in coordinating a recall response (including mock recalls)
Assist the RP with supplier management activities
Conduct self-inspections of the facility and QMS to determine conformance with both internal and regulatory requirements.
 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Proven experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare industry. Previous pharmacy experience beneficial
Hands on experience with HPRA inspections, compliance reporting, cold chain logistics, and quality systems.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDP, GMP, and other relevant standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiar with ALCOA+ principles and experience with document writing
Previous audit experience
Ability to step into a leadership role in the absence of the Responsible Person.
