Job Summary:

The Trainee Manager will support the management team in overseeing daily operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring effective control of production, costs, and compliance. This role is designed to develop future management capability through hands-on exposure to operational, financial, and performance management activities.

Key Responsibilities: 

The Trainee Manager will be responsible for supporting production control activities to ensure operational efficiency and quality standards are consistently met. The role will involve contributing to operational excellence initiatives by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting the implementation of best practices across the business. The Trainee Manager will assist in monitoring profit and loss performance, identifying areas of financial loss, and supporting cost-control measures to improve overall profitability. They will play an active role in shrink control by monitoring stock losses and ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures, as well as supporting waste control initiatives to reduce inefficiencies and promote sustainable working practices.
In addition, the Trainee Manager will ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety procedures, supporting the maintenance of a safe and compliant working environment. The role will also involve analysing operational metrics and key performance indicators to assess performance and drive improved outcomes. The Trainee Manager will be expected to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and losses, preparing clear reports and escalating findings to higher management with practical recommendations for improvement.
