Our client, Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited, based in Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, is currently seeking Electricians for immediate start for their facilities in Roscommon, Cork and Dublin. 



Duties & Responsibilities

•	To perform electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on refrigeration systems, compressors, motors, control panels, and related equipment.
•	To diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
•	To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
•	To install, test, and commission new electrical components and control systems as required.
•	To ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company standards.
•	To maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders through the company’s maintenance management system.
•	To support refrigeration engineers during maintenance and installation projects.
•	To respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota if required.
•	To identify and recommend electrical system improvements to enhance energy efficiency and reliability.
•	To maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.



Requirements & Experience 
•	Ability to competently carry out all role responsibilities listed above
•	Fully qualified Electrician (Trade Certification or equivalent)
•	Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial environments.
•	Strong understanding of control systems, single-phase and three-phase power, and electrical schematics.
•	Knowledge of refrigeration systems and related components is highly desirable.
•	Experience with PLCs, sensors, and control wiring 
•	Valid Electrical Safe Pass / Working at Heights / confined space certification (as applicable).
•	Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•	Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•	Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
•	Excellent diagnostic and technical skills.
•	Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
•	Proactive and reliable with a commitment to high-quality work.



Annual Remuneration: €35,880.00; Pay rate €17.25 per hour
