Description of post The main duties of this post will be to provide support for a disabled person with educational, domestic and social tasks. Support Help with washing, dressing, feeding, toileting. Domestic Tasks Providing assistance when necessary with preparation of daily meals, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and ironing and all other reasonable practical domestic tasks. Outside Activities Support with keeping appointments, collecting prescriptions, accompanying me to social events, assistance to visit friends and family, accompany me to educational activities, swimming, cinema, travel, shopping, independent living exercises, and all other day to day daily living and social activities. Help me to exercise my will and preference to engage in my local community of Donegal Other Duties Assisting me with any other tasks that I may reasonably request. Willingness to complete mandated training in Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding, manual handling, first aid and responding to epilepsy seizure and other as required Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of clients at all times while supporting their care, welfare and leisure needs. Be creative in developing person centred and individually tailored activities and programmes Capable of developing strong, respectful and positive relationships with the clients and their families. Good report writing skills
