Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant – Nursing Home Location: Co.Kildare Employment Type: Full-Time Sector: Healthcare / Nursing Home Accommodation: Not Provided Salary: €14.15 per hour Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to support the daily cleaning and hygiene standards of a busy nursing home in the Co. Kildare region. This role is ideal for someone with previous cleaning or housekeeping experience, especially in healthcare, hospitality, or residential environments. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitise resident bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and communal areas Change bed linens, towels, and maintain laundry duties as required Ensure high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout the facility Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules set by management Safely use cleaning products and comply with all health and safety guidelines Support the care team by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain recycling procedures Report any maintenance or repair needs to management Requirements: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred but not essential) Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards (training can be provided) Ability to work efficiently and independently Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards Must be eligible to work in Ireland Ideal Candidate Profile Based in Ireland or able to relocate independently Compassionate, respectful, and motivated to work in a care-focused environment Physically fit and comfortable with housekeeping duties Please note : this role will require Gardai vetting Interested candidates please send your CV and references to jobs@euworkforce.ie
