Marches Biogas is based in Ludlow Shropshire. We are the UK’s leading provider of anaerobic digestion solutions for agriculture and waste management industries with more than 30 years AD experience. We also offer AD consultancy services including DSEAR assessments, site surveys, process and equipment selection reviews, design and implementation of plant upgrades as well as delivering major AD plant upgrades for our clients, including direct work with the water utilities. We also deliver mechanical, biological and operational support for many AD plants within the UK. Main Purpose of the job: To assist with the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance and functionality requirements of operating anaerobic digesters. Specific roles to include: Carry out maintenance on anaerobic digestion plants throughout the United Kingdon Monitoring and diagnosing problems with the use of the plant operation system Assist in the set up of the associated systems and conduct repairs / adjustments when necessary Maintain feeding, heating and pumping systems to ensure correct and efficient operation Inspect and test alarm and functionality systems Follow safe systems of work and procedures Keep clients sites clean and tidy Complete paperwork as required by the Maintenance Manager Take samples as required and advised by the Biological Support Team Skills and Experience: Proven experience as maintenance technician Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem solving skills
