Location: Various new-build residential developments (regional travel required) Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Transport and Distribution Assistant to assist with the delivery of furniture to new-build housing estates. This role involves safe handling of furniture, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, navigating construction sites, and providing a professional service to site managers and end customers. You will be part of a delivery team ensuring items arrive on time, undamaged, and placed correctly within newly built properties. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture Deliver furniture to new-build estates, following site rules and health and safety procedures Safely move items into properties, including upstairs and restricted-access areas Support the driver with navigation, delivery schedules, and paperwork Carry out manual handling tasks, including team lifts for heavy or awkward items Check deliveries against paperwork and report any damages or shortages Communicate professionally with site managers, supervisors, and customers Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle Follow company procedures for care, handling, and installation (if required) Adhere to all health & safety regulations, including PPE use on construction sites Skills and Experience Required: Experience in construction sites and furniture delivery, logistics, or warehouse work Comfortable with physical work and manual handling Awareness of health and safety practices, especially on construction sites Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work as part of a team Flexible approach to working hours and locations Requirements: Experience working on new-build or construction sites Knowledge of furniture assembly or placement Safe pass training certificate
